I have another British version, by the Mudlarks (an early 60s vocal group). Once again, I can't understand all the lyrics, but they're quite different to Rolf's, and there are some places I've never heard of, but here's my best shot :

I was humping my guitar on a way to play a dance hall date
When along came a lorry, and the driver shouted "Watcha, mate
I've gone crazy 'bout pop music, man, so come on inside
You can play that hit parade and serenade me as we ride"
He asked me if I'd lost my way, and where was all the band
I said you get around, man, when you're on a one night stand

'Cos I been everywhere, man, I been everywhere, man
Never paid my fare, man
All that wear and tear, man
Of travel I've had my share, man
I been everywhere

I've been to Esmond, Redmond, Clarkspare, Malden
Sittingbourne, ----, ----, Oldham
Bolton, Folton, Subalton, Highgate
Boreham, Shoreham, Blandford Forum, Reigate
Manston, Fanston, Wincanton, Isles of Scilly
Spalding, Yalding, Piccadilly, I've been silly

CHORUS

Well what about goin' to ....
I've been to Breekin, Reekin, Clampton, Northamberly
Northampton, Grampton, Wolverhampton, Camberley
----, ----, ----, Hexham
Nottingham, Droitwich, Ipswich, Wrexham
Colchester, Leicester, Chester, Merton
Aldeborough, Marlborough, Burton, (I've been there!)

CHORUS

Have you ever been to ....
I've been to Brockley, Ockley, Hockley, Llanelli
Henley, Frenley, Franley, ----
Guildford, Ilford, New Milford, Inverary
Leith, Neath, Haywards Heath, Tipperary
Seaton, Heaton, Nuneaton, Bookham
Stratford, Catford, Cookham, that shook 'em

CHORUS

Um ....
I've been to Braunton, Taunton, Saunton, Mulligan
Lister, ----, Cirencester, Hull again
Crawley, Horley, Fawley, Billingham
Dawlston, Haulston, Kingston, Gillingham
Bury, Londonderry, Broadberry, Ickenham
Barrow, Harrow, Twickenham, I'm sick of 'em

I been here, there, everywhere
I been everywhere
