Middlewich Folk and Boat has to be up there with the best of them as the Chester Festival both "local" as I could drive to them and go home for a sleep . Lots of free friendly events at both and a good range of guests without huge prices. Must also mention the Songwriter Festival at the Taybank in Dunkeld which is on Saturday Sept 6th. 12 hours of FREE live music . Over 20 acts perform throughout the day. Cant be bad.
