I thought I'd post an update. Celtic Music Radio has now been broadcasting continuously since January this year. We broadcast 24x7, with "live" programming during the day and evenings (UK time). At other times, we are on "autoplay" - so there's always good music playing. To accommodate our listeners in other parts of the world, we rebroadcast our evening "feature programmes" (7pm-10pm UK time) at 1am, and again at 12 noon UK time. Typical weekday schedules will include Alex's morning mix fom 8am-12.00, then from 12-3 it'll be the previous night's feature programme. On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-6, we have Mark Sheridan's magazine programme, with news, good music, and all the latest arts and culture news from central Scotland. Monday at 7, Ken MacDonald presents music and news from the folk club circuit, followed by Bill Morris's "Mash" of folk, blues and americana. Tuesday evening we have Sandy Semeonoff's "Planet Waves" - acoustic music from around the world - followed by Liz Clark of the Traditional Music and Song Association, who presents her "Travels with my Aunt" show - news and music from around the country. Wednesday, Gordon Hotchkiss presents "Hotchkiss Hotchpotch" - featuring a mix of mainly Scottish and Irish traditional music and song. Gordon also presents a Friday afternoon show. Other highlights include Charles Dewhurst's "No Celtic Boundaries", and "Upraid", from Barra and Vatersay Community Radio. Our most popular show, judging by the number of emails we receive, is probably Ciaran Dorris's Sunday programme - he seems to have a worldwide fan club. You can hear us on 1530kHz around the Glasgow area, and online at http://www.celticmusicradio.net - you can also find schedules and playlists there. You can contact the presenters at studio@celticmusicradio.net Bruce bruce@celticmusicradio.net
