A hot day in June 1986, when on holiday in India, a very young Dan met up with a young bull elephant who had a piece of wood stuck in its foot. With his knife Don carefully removed the piece of wood, the elephant trumpeted and walked away. 20 years later visiting Chicago Zoo, Don and his son saw the some elephants, and one walked over to Dan The elephant then stamped his foot three times and Dan remembered 1986. The elephant gently picked Don up and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly. Probably wasn't the same elephant!
