The concerts are in support of a childrens' charity in Poland and promise to be great nights out I'll be at the Friday night one in Birmingham - hope to see you there... From Bernard: I would like to invite any one who is interested in international sea shanty. Music from the sea and ocean, rivers and lakes, filled with the rugged rough qualities of the sailors of old, sailors who sailed on the endless ocean called life. Meetings with sea music, and also the closest things to the roots of shanty, classic shanties. Come for one or all of concerts organized by London Shanties Meetings: 10 October in Birmingham - Polish Millenium House - 5 pounds 11 October in London - Regalia boat on the Thames River (Swan Pier next to the London Bridge)- 20 pounds 12 October in Doncaster for Sea Shanty & Folk Festival - free entrance Four bands from Poland will appear in London and Birmingham with Ian Woods from Oxford and Vitalij fron Ukraine, and in London additionally Casak dancers will have their time on the stage.
