Roentgen is the only German I can think of whose name became a verb: "roentgen" = to X ray Of course we have also "boykottieren" and "lynchen" and "pasteurisieren" but these words come from foreign languages.
The p.p. of that verb is even for a German unpronounceable: "Ich bin geroentgt worden" We pronounce it as if it was spelt "geroencht".
Now what does a Dutch mean if he uses the verb "bellen"?
