I may just has well have asked the "Ferrets" for direction ? I have purchased a brand spanking new Boston flatback Mandolin and had now,t but trouble with it. The E string keeps breaking. Its broke in the shop when the chap tuned it and he restrung it and it was fine. By the time I got to Crayford it was outa tune because I had been learning two fingered chords all night on new strings so a friend tuned it for me and woo and behold it broke again. so I did not play Mandolin at Crayford at all. I fear I may have to take the plate off and file down the string loop hooks? Or shall I wait for a Mandolin Knockholt workshop or give it to the ferrets to sort out?
