Well, I don't know about singing it in a folk club, but the Percy version of this ballad has been recorded, in much condensed form by a duo named Peasants All (Philip Astle and Paul Williamson). It appeared on a 1977 LP released by Plant Life Records. Included on the recording are ten stanzas - 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 15, 17, 19 and 20 from Part the First and stanza 20 from Part the Seconde, as they appear in Jim Dixon's post above.

Omitted from the recording is the ribald humor, including the fart and shite references. It's just a story of a king passing unrecognized among his subjects and rewarding one who took him in and fed him well when he was in need of lodging. The recording comes in at just under six minutes.
