come rain or shine or thunder
we'll be camping out of doors,
eating food that makes us chunder,
and longing for walls and floors.

missing my far off girl guide,
my god i really need 'er,
theres only old 'Akaler' here,
and that friendly boy scout leader.

but now the times are changing,
watch progress onwards tramp,
i didnt know this was what they meant
when they said pitch out the camp.

apologise for spelling of arkaler... not sure if its right. after all i was only ever in 'Brownies' and our leaders had proper names like 'Brown Owl'...
