van lingle Who is your favorite blues artist? (135* d) RE: Who is your favorite blues artist? 22 Nov 08

Murray, that Wizz Jones video was killer! And that old Epiphone sounded fantastic.
My tastes run to Charley Patton, Willie Brown (the one who did M&O and Future Blues), Big Bill, and RL Burnside for acoustic and though I'm not a big fan I can't deny the genius of Robert Johnson. But, hell, I like so many of them including Blake who I don't really think of as a bluesman.
On electric Otis Rush is way up there (even though his recordings seem to range from brilliant to not so hot) along with BB and Albert King, Magic Sam, Hendrix and SRV (who ,to me, could me incredibly soulful) and Bobby Radcliffe, and Jimmy Vaughn and on and on.
