The Wail, formerly at Wareham but now at Verwood on the western edge of New Forest, is a fantastic festival. No guest singers, unless they are willing to muck in with the rest of us, and no concerts. Three venues for song sessions, fantastic beer provided by one of the attendees, a Medieval Banquet included in the price and, if you buy a food ticket for about £12 for the w/e, food is provided. If transport is needed from Ringwood a word with the organiser can work miracles. Colyn.
