I'm impressed by the fact that English can be used in this manner because every one seems to understand what is meant, howevr clumsily or even ungrammatically. Derryn Hinch a journalist on Australian TV,once stated during his commentry on a cyclone in the Philipines that as it passed over 30,000 people evacuated. On the otherhand I never got over my 'Lavatorial' sense of humour
