Prime Minister Stephen Harper will visit the Governor-General at Rideau Hall early Thursday morning when he is expected to ask that Parliament be suspended, likely until the Conservatives can bring down a budget in late January. Well, well. It seems the Conservative fears have been put to rest by our Governor General, who, at the request of Harper, has suspended Parliament until January to give him an opportunity to bring in a budget. Harper keeps talking about "working together". Lets see him put his money where his mouth is. For now we can rest until then and enjoy the holidays.
