I hate counting calories, carbs, grams of fat, etc....well, I don't hate it, I just don't do it. Instead, a few years ago, I made a concious effort to avoid white rice, white flour, sugar, and potatoes - amazing how much food that takes in. In doing so, I a) lost almost 40 pounds, lowered my cholesterol and tryglicerides, too, and b) started feeling great. Oh, I joined a gym, too - and actually go. With these guidelines, I eat as much as I want of everything else.
