Does anyone know the origin of "No Depression In Heaven"? I love it dearly and have played it for years. Recently, I read in a CD box set liner notes that the Carter's version was a cover. It didn't say where they got it. I learned this song from a New Lost City Ramblers album, and it led me into old-time and country music and introduced me to the Carter Family. Oddly enough, when I heard the Carter recording, I didn't care for it, but by then, I'd been a devotee for a long, long time. Fair winds, SKP
