Harpgirl; it wasn't Dave & Cathy, but it was at the "Big Muddy" festival they help run; "big Jim" & 2 of his pals - I hate to admit it but CRS syndrome temporarily blocks me from remembering their group name - from the Cape Girardeau area do this song, & also MC the open mike every year. They also explain that the old hymnals say the tune for "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" is an old folksong melody, so things sometime come full circle..

GREAT little folk festival - worth travelling to. "The Big Muddy Folk Festival" in spring - usually April - every year, in Booneville, Missouri. Bob Dyer, Dave 'n Cathy, Jim from the cape & many volunteers work really hard to make it so, & always have a mix of regional, local & national talent w/something (actually many things) for everyone. This year we had John McCutcheon and Cindy Mangsun & Steve Gillette; they were fantastic.. Y'all come!!
