GUEST,Graham Bradshaw Lyr Req: Laughing Policeman (56* d) RE: Lyr Req: Laughing Policeman 16 Dec 08

I remember listening to Charles Penrose on "Children's Favourites" in the 50s. The Laughing Policeman was always my Dad's party piece at family gatherings, and when he died, we played it at his funeral. At what was a sad occasion, as the coffin disappeared at the Crem, the strains of HaHaHaHa etc seemed very appropriate, and everybody had a smile on their faces as they remembered him with fondness.

What a brilliant way to exit this mortal coil.
