Wow, the net is a wonderful thing. I was googlevideoing Che Guevera and I started thinking about this song from my childhood. During the late 60's early 70's there was an explosion of black nationalism and rediscovering African roots. People bought African culture to the communites and public schools. Daishikis and afros. I was taught the Che or Kye song and West African dances in public school and local community centers. Now check this out. I'm thinking of this song and when I googled it, I came across "Che Che Cole", a salsa song made famous by Hector Lavoe and reprised by Marc Anthony. Here is the chorus: Che che colé, (que bueno e'………) Che che cofriza, (muerto e' la risa……) Coqui saranga (ay viene la malanga……) Caca chilanga, (viene de catanga……) Ayeiyeee, (a ver e' tu lo ve………) Now doesn't that sound like the West African song? Someboy get back at me on this one.... thanks, ada
