Thanks to all of you for your similar versions. I heard it as a little girl by my step-dad and it has been a wonderful tradition to see who could get Bill (my step-dad) to sing it for us. Elmer the Bear has made so many happy memories for our family and I thank you for the lyrics so we will always be able to share our step-dad Bill and his wry sense of humor.
