Barry Vickers will have been known to many of the folk community in various areas of England. He has been absent fromt he folk scene in recent years due to the progression of his Multiple Scerosis. His suffering ended on the morning of 1/1/09 in Great Western Hospital, Swindon. A gifted storyteller and writer of poetry, Barry was also known for his organisation of folk events. Ironically, some of those events were organised to raise funds for Folk for MS - even before he himself knew he had it.
