I heard this on an old wind-up record player in my grandad's attic in Pennsylvania. This was in the 1940's and they must have got the record way before then - probably in the 1920's. I think it was on the Rooster record label. "I swan" is as mentined above but if you consider the word to be "sworn" rather than "swear" the pronounciation makes more sense. (I'd have sworn => I swan).
