I'm not sure if this was a music question or not and it's a novice, and probably, silly question. I have been looking for an instruction manual online but couldn't find one, free.

My question is, when "tuning down to E-flat" how would I use this tuner. There is a flat button and each time I depress this button a little flat picture appears, up to 4 flats. I haven't a clue what to do with these cute little flat pictures. Can anyone help?
