White is most appropriate for Obatal as it contains all the colors of the rainbow yet is above them. Would the 'ancients' really know the breakdown of white light to its individual colours? If you mix pigment paints you dont end up with white. This comments seems a modern interpretation. I dont know when the 'rainbow' effect was analysed so ask the question in a search for knowledge.
