Hi Don: Do read the Villager artical linked above. I agree, he did a great job of landing the plane, but may have not met the standard which maritime captains set, when it comes to the well being of his passingers. I don't think it is proper for a captain of a vessel to get into a life boat or raft, when passingers are still on the vessel, and in this case, on a sinking plane, and in the water. Walking the plane is proper and fine, but he should have then gotten out on the wing with those for whom he was responsible. That's just the standard set by generations of mariners. I don't know if I could have done that, but that is what it is to be a captain, not a hero. It is the responcibility of comand. Cheers lor
