Stilly - the travel is an hour each way (8 miles, door to door, the joys of public transport) and during busy times can take longer. To make it worthwhile, I need to be at work for more than 3 hours but to get home in time to take Limpit to her piano lesson, I would have been at work for as long as it takes me to get there and back.

We discovered the beautiful Victorian panel doors under hardboard and beading that had turned them into nasty 1970's flush doors. They're still good, solid doors and the panels are much more interesting than the plain ones were. If only the previous occupants had been as forgiving with the plasterwork.

I did manage to shuffle the books around, didn't manage to discard any duplicates but I do have a whole half shelf to spare, which I daresay will be filled by summertime. I'm still fairly wiped by the flu I had last week, I was dozing by 3.00pm and I'm trying hard here at work to resist that temptation.

I'm still stunned at the accumulated 6 bags of rubbish/recycling that we've generated in the last 10 days... I never knew I had that much crap!
