Our second Goose night at The Marlborough!

Joe Woolley is a brilliant singer and guitarist - a master of understatement and changing pace. He dazzles his audience with a mixture of blues standards and original compositions, with a bit of Eric Satie thrown in.

Listen to him here ....

Hamish Meaney is a foot stompingly good folk rock singer songwriter currently based in London. Three years ago he exchanged his heavy metal rig for an acoustic guitar and hit the road. Travelling the world pursuing his love of surfing and the steep and deep, he has been profoundly influenced by all he has seen and this is reflected in his songs. Lost love, natural beauty/degradation and odes to the road are all themes apparent in his music.

He has been described as "a one man folk lightning strike" - before he appeared at DHFC supporting Chris Wood, we said that we didn't think anyone would be disappointed, and judging by the audience reaction we doubt if anyone was!

Also ...The Goose is delighted to welcome Mixmaster Morris as a Guest DJ tonight!

Morris has a worldwide reputation as a pioneering and groundbreaking ambient DJ, whose sets at the Big Chill are the stuff of legend

On Sunday the 8th of March... Morris will be wearing his folky hat. Hopefully not with a pewter tankard attached. I didn't say that.

Tickets on the door, £5/3

How do I get to the Marlborough...?

Nearest station: Denmark Hill or Peckham Rye..

Walk along Camberwell Church Street, which runs from Camberwell Green to Peckham. Alternatively, get a bus (see below) along the street and get off at Southwark Town Hall. Walk down Havill Street (beside the Town Hall) and take the first right into Dalwood Street. Walk a few metres, and the Marlborough is on the corner of Dalwood Street and Sedgemoor Place.

The music is in the bar with the stage in the corner (OK we know you're not stupid, but we like to cover all eventualities - we'd hate you to sit all evening in the wrong bar wondering where the live music was .....).

If you need to phone The Marlborough, the phone number is 020 7703 2703
