Matt was like a father to me. From a young twenty year old with illusions of grandeur, Matt advised, coached and presented opportunities that enable me to be the musician I am today. He was always so kind, generous and warm hearted so imagine my delight, that as our time together increased, I came to work and play with him on things like StonyLive and the Midnight Specials. The journey from mentor to friend doesn't end with his parting, but I am going to miss him terribly, there is a hole in my heart that now needs filling, and they only way I know how is to keep the music flowing until I to complete the journey.

Matt, thanks, for my first song, my first single malt and my first gig, these memories are the most precious.
