How splendid that you all remember the JV. I was one of the founding four and played guitar, washboards, harmonica, kazoo, swannee whistle, penny whistle and occasional ukulele. I also sang (sort of) and was the front man for the duration of my first term with the band. I'm currently writing a brief history of the fist few years on my blog, which oldguit found back in october. The address, if you're interested is http://adventuresofvoltarol.blogspot.com and I welcome comments, contacts and any memories of the band that you might have. In fact, oldguit chanced on my blog back in october and apparently emailed me but I never received the email or I would have answered, honest! So - I can be contacted on this address - firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll be happy to hear from you. The JV history postings started this month and I'm about to post the third episode this very afternoon. I had occassion to phone Muff Murfet to clarify a point and he put me on to this site, hence this communication. Incidentally, with the rest of the band's permission, I hope to upload the original and previously unreleased LP as a free MP3.
