JotSC, I do have a problem with the rental deal. I just recently bought my house on a gov't program with zero down. One of the reasons I bought it was I could not find a house to rent that I could afford. My house payment with taxes and insurance included is only $425/mth. The house next door is a rental, has the same floor plan, and rents for $850/mth. I didn't overextend myself on buying, but with the current economy and cutbacks at work, there is no way I could afford the rental. The rentals in this area generally run 2-3 times what the payment would be to buy. BHSC
