Twenty-five or more years ago on Friday evenings I used to attend a sing around session at at pub in Ireby, near to Carlisle. This was not a folk club as such, just a group of folk who met on a Friday evening for a sing and a pint to ease into the weekend. Two young women sang this song quite regularly to an appreciative audience but now the only words that I can remember are 'ee by gum we had a reet good do' which came at the end of each verse. I have tried for years to find the rest of the words but without any success. Does anyone know if there is a recording? Cheers.
