Yeah I don't mind doing boring work as long as the atmosphere and coworkers are good. I wouldnt want to do music for a living - it would take the joy out of it. Plus I think it's good to have something to 'kick against'. it fires your clay - as long as your day job doesnt piss you off too much - maybe just a little, to get you going and then you can vent your anger through your instrument! that has worked wonders for me sometimes.

I guess it's all a question of balance really, like most things in life.

I do have musician mates who work in similar jobs to mine, maybe I should just make a real effort to get a job in their department!
