It would be nice if there were only 3 or 4 sets of books. I heard on the radio today, and I'm sorry I didn't catch who was speaking, that some unidentified source inside AIG estimates there are at least 10 LAYERS of bundles involved that could total as much as $400 trillion on only $4 trillion value. If those numbers are right, I don't think anyone can truly comprehend what the effects might be of just letting them go under, but it sure wouldn't be a pretty sight. BHSC
