Thanks so much for the link to the download. I'm downloading it now, and I'm looking forward to listening to it. Phil Ochs was a very interesting person who shaped our world, looked in vain for his place in it, went mad, and eventually killed himself. His life after he stopped writing songs and escaped the limelight was a long and interesting journey. I read a wonderful book, "There but for Fortune: The life of Phil Ochs" by Michael Schumaker. The book is a detailed recounting of Phil Ochs's life, and it was written with a lot of input from Phil's family. In particular, Phil's sister used her conversations with the author as a source of grieving and catharsis. For a long time, the book was out of print, and I searched for it for a long time. Occasionally a copy of it would show up on Amazon.com for about $150. When I finally found a copy for about $30, I bought it. I just checked amazon.com and found several copies there with prices starting at $27.99. It is one of the best books I've read in a long time, and I recommend it highly.
