In the "objectionable material" thread, someone afraid to identify themselves to our extremely gestapo-like community of mudcateers said: ...In fact watering down a gritty song like the ballad of Sam Hall so it is acceptable to all goes against my grain... And I got to wondering: that fantastic song is watered down? So I checked the DT. I found a grittier song called Samuel Small. It doesn't look any better or worse to me, just different -- better if you're in an angry mood. Could this be the lyric that the nameless one was referring? What lyrics came first?
