it's only a footnote, but the dates in general circulation for the Shirley Collins EPs on Collector (1964) seem to be wrong. JEB3 The Foggy Dew was reviewed in the Gramophone magazine in Feb 1960 (along with the Sweet England LP that came out in 1959). JEB5 English Songs was reviewed in the Gramophone in February 1961 and the reviewer said it was "not one of their (Collector's) most recent issues. Can't find any reviews of JEB9 (English Songs vol 2) or JEI1508 (Shirley Sings Irish), but they (and the above) were all recorded apparently at the same 1958/59 sessions produced in London by Paul Carter.
