Way back in the '80s, one of the vintage motorcycle mags had a set of photos of either the '39 Manx GP or TT taken by an unknown photgrapher. The film had been in an old Leica bought off the barra's earlier that year. The speculation was that the original owner had been mobilised with the TA or similar reserve and had been an early casualty. It was further speculated that it ended upon the barra's when his parent's house was cleared after their deaths. A sad and interesting vignette.
