Big Thank you to every body for a great day on Sunday for all your help before, after and during. To ginge {next doors chicken} who having attend a semi mudcat gathering of her own free will, flying fences to get there should now be made an honary member. but I will understand if she doesn,t post !! Why has nobody mentioned I arranged the Red Arrow fly past as well. By the way it was 6 wish lanterns that went off, ME remained sober through out as is my way, not being the sort to drink.
Funny I can listen to recordings of Pete,remember him and smile but when Linda played the one of Dave all I could see was him standing there and got choked up, Thank you for the dvd Wendy and Bill of the old git playing, wasn,t he something.

A BRIEF LIFE

Away from the light of the day,
The night brings its gift to the eye
The far away fire of the stars
That turn on the wheel of the sky.
Some of those stars will go out
With each turn of the sun and the moon;
All of our lives have their ends;
All of our lives end too soon.
Some of them fade into dark
Before the first light of first dawn;
But all of the stars have their place
And tomorrow more stars will be born.
How long or how short? Any lifetime
May be gone in the blink of an eye;
Accept that a star has gone out;
But remember its place in the sky.
