The ones we get now are Waiting for God, Keeping Up Appearances, Vicar of Dibley and Fawlty Towers. Vicar replaced a Canadian show, The Red Green Show, which was not enthusiastically met in this area. While it had a small, but very loyal, following, it was not enough to outweigh the cry against it.
Someone mentioned The Young Ones. I hadn't thought of it in years.
