A lovely, lovely gentle man, as I learned when he did several summer seasons at the theatre where my uncle was manager. A real professional who loved to be on stage. I think Music Hall has finally died with the passing of this wonderful man. Another family tie for those who know us - one of Danny's most sung songs was On Mother Kelly's Doorstep. Jack's (my husband) grandmother was Mrs Kelly who lived next door to the mens' club in Paradise Row, in the East End of London. The song was written when somebody leaving the club saw two children sat on the doorstep of the house next to the club. I guess that now Danny has passed on I'd better add it to my repertoire. Polly
