Intended audience aside it has to be agreed---I believe--that he is a brilliant speaker and knows how to use language. A breath of fresh air following GWB and the on-going growling from Cheney. ANother thing that should be thought about---the speech was meant to be translated into many languages so it had to be diplomatic without great quotable flourishes such as, say, a Gettysburg Address. Since it was delivered in Egypt---I was listening---one could almost time the beat for the applause lines---any thing that smacked of anti-Israel comment got applause---criticism of Palestinians (however slight)---silence.
