Here in Dundee UK, as in many other places, the hotel bathroom has an outlet labeled "Shavers Only 220V 110V". Does any tech wizard out there know what is actually behind that plate and/or what actually emanates from the outlet-- AC, DC, current capacity, waveform, etc.? As an engineer, I can handle diodes, transformers, resistors, and the like, but I've never had the guts to take one of the things apart in my hotel room.
