I went on my own last year and it was very scary going back to the hotel across the square from the Allendale Centre, you would not think it of a small Dorset town.

There was lots of police and ambulances and bottles being thrown around and broken glass and vomit everywhere. Crying girlie's dressed in very little. Fighting gangs, not very nice at all and I could hear from my hotel window it did not stop till gone 4am.

This thread and this sheds some light on why there is so much trouble.

It is a shame because by day it was a lovely festival and they always have an excellent line up, unfortunately I will not be going on my own again.
