Here's the kicker - Byron is working!
He's been a trooper with Momma Kat in this 95 degree heat as she walks her dogs, her own business. Daycare is a bit steep in this economy. We're doing alright though. Her business is expanding and she's hired a helper.

Byron is already plucking on the old banjo. He gets a big smile when he gets to play it. Our five-year-old, Siera's main goal is to see how loud it can get before Dad says "be careful or you'll break a string." Chloe and Siera have already got a pretty good Scruggs Roll. Better than Dad's but that ain't saying much.

Byron considered a career in politics but prefers dog walking. Working with dogs or working with lobbyists, hmmm, hard decision. Also, the messes smell better and are easier to clean up, and unlike politicians, he hopes one day to be capable of wiping himself.
