Banjiman - the Round Peakers like Fred Cockerham would tune up for two reasons, I believe. 1. It is believed by some that a tuned up banjo sounds better than a capoed banjo (don't know about that) 2. The Round Peakers often use fretless banjos, where a capo is not really usable. Cheers Ray (off to Dent/Sedbergh tomorrow)
