Well now I've got over the shock and the initial sadness I'm feeling quite cheered by mn's photos of Johnnie's last day. He looked his usual self, he looked to be having a great time and he was singing. Presumably within hours of these he was dead. Though it's a dreadful shock to everyone left behind, how happy we should be that he ended like this. No long, drawn out illness like so many of our friends have had to bear; no going slowly downhill and diminishing, gradually losing powers, including the power to sing. Now we've done the initial grieving, we should rejoice at such an end. PSWas there anyone in the folk scene who DIDN't Know Johnnie?? PPS. Yes, thoughts and sympathy to Jim too, I didn't think before. Love Lynne
