The latest news is that Julie tracked down the former owner, Rose Augustine, who died several years ago. This remarkable woman invented the nylon guitar string with her husband. She collected thousands of wonderful old instruments, and, according to her obit in the Indepentdant, felt old instruments should be played - which makes me feel that I am doing right by her harp. She was a great patron of the arts, and I am honored to keep her memory alive in this instrument as well...
