Hi MudCat users! A long time ago in the 1980s a Catalan relative sang to me an old local (Catalan? or Basque?) folk song. I am now looking for the full lyrics of this song, & even an mp3 (etc.) of the song. Can anyone help? I remember little about the song except that at the time we were standing on Montjuïc a.k.a. Mont Juic (a mountain just outside the city of Barcelona in Catalunya a.k.a. Catalonia), on the funicular railway, which is why she sang the song to me. The song included the lyrics - only ROUGHLY spelt here i.e. spelt in a PHONETIC style as an English person who didn't speak Catalan would hear them! - 'Ah Mont Juic, ah Mont Juic, to trobben tuney tu tom ah tambonic'. That is all I can remember of the song! I have Googled like crazy to find the real & full lyrics for this old song, ditto at YouTube but can find NOTHING! Can anyone help? Thanks all! M.W.
