The Song Creamsleeves was sang by a good mate of Mine 'Dave Alexander' who died in 1997. The notes in his memorial album on the song suggest that the song came to Dave via the 'New World Trio' and that the some may have been composed around 1962. The version Dave sang mention the conscription and the Vietnam War, which is proberly a re-write of the orginial version, as 1962 the Vietnam war was only just starting and Australia involvement was miminal.
