Barry Finn Wendy Arrowsmith: New Album 1/8/09 (36) RE: Wendy Arrowsmith: New Album 1/8/09 20 Aug 09

Hi Paul
Just got Wendy's 2 CD's yesterday (thanks). WOW, great. I started on the "Seeds of Love" CD & got past her really wonderful, beatufill (pun) handling of the Blackbird (not so fond of it up til now cuz it's been covered so much by so many but this was a brand new wash) & then got stuck on "Sleep Well Till Morning" (I keep thinking of it as "Horee Horo"). I just kept replaying the song over & over again & working on harmonies for the rest of the guys to work on when I tell them we gotta steel this one. I heard Wendy sing this after the close of the Seafest that night on the pier & I remember thinking "why haven't I heard this trad sea song up til now". Now I know, nice job writing it Wendy. So yesterday was spent replaying that one song & it wasn't until today I got to hear the rest of the CD's. I'm even more impressed. I also sing a version of the Great Silkie, so I ended up singing along in various harmonies & replaying that over & over again. I had been driving all over the world today & when I pulled over to get something to eat I wouldn't get out of the car for listening to what was playing next. It was tough, it was a very tough day, having to stop, get out, get back in & start the song over again or just stay put till I broke away before the next song started. I haven't had life so hard on me since I worked for a living.
Till Wendy thanks a million. Now I'm a home & can listen & live. I could die like this & not care

Barry
