You ask my Dad about growing up English, all his friends were English... except that many of them were of East Indian ancestry, West Indian ancestry, they were from Jamaica, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Eastern Europe, Chinese. They came because they wanted to come.
Dad, though born in England (Birmingham), was of Welsh and Scots background As many now know, I am part North American native and part white, I now call myself English. As you say, Snail, being English doesn't mean you're a WASP. That's a lesson the BNP and its lackies need to learn.
